The project was for the pavement improvements of 15 miles of highway and included 120,000 tons of asphalt produced on site with the use of portable asphalt plant. Drilling blasting and manufacturing the asphalt aggerates on site. New Guard railing and drainage structures.

Responsible for the coordination of the proposal and analysis of the earthwork balance, finish grading, traffic control, and environmental issues for this Construction Manager at Risk project. The project consisted of the reconfiguration of the interchange and construction of eight bridges with 1.0 million yards of excavation.

Served as the Senior Cost Estimator for a grade separation of two Metrolink tracks at Van Nuys Blvd. Van Nuys Blvd will be depressed and pass under two aerial bridge structures, including one that will support the Metrolink rail guideways and one that will support San Fernando Road Bridge. This alternative is represented by alternate 2A, 2B, and 2C. Alternative 3 was based on a depressed Metrolink rail guideway. This alternative is represented by alternate 2A, 2B, and 2C. (Senior Project Estimator) Served as the Senior Cost Estimator for a grade separation of two Metrolink tracks and two Freight Rail tracks at Palmdale Blvd. Palmdale Blvd will be depressed and pass under three aerial bridge structures two that will support the rail guideways, and one the 6th Street E Bridge. This project had 4 alternates with Cost ranging from $135.0 Million to $200.0 Million

Provided cost estimation for the grade separation of two Metrolink tracks at Newhall Ave. Newhall Ave and Railroad will be lowered and pass under all rail lines. There is minimal work on 4th street. The estimate was a Rough-order-of Magnitude estimate of design with drawings at approximately 15% Design Level. The Estimate is presented in PSRE Format. This estimate is in a format consistent with LA Metro standards for grade separation cost estimates. The cost categories are separated into subtotals for Roadway improvements, Structures, Railroad construction, and temporary shoofly construction. Estimated Railroad amount - $600 Million.

San Jose International Airport Southwest Quadrant, San Jose, California

As a Senior Project Estimator prepared detailed cost estimate, including Blast Deflector modifications Access roads, Fencing, security systems, lighting, preparation of an extensive earthwork management plan, and environmental protection. This Project will rehabilitate approximately 33,000 square feet of existing deteriorated asphalt pavement that is at the end of its lifespan, located in the southwest quadrant of the Airport, directly north of the proposed General Aviation Run-up Pad Relocation project identified in the RIM study. The Project improvements include minor modifications to the drainage, lighting, striping, and signage. The existing asphalt would be replaced with new asphalt concrete pavement to support Airport operations. The new asphalt concrete apron would be designed to withstand the weight of Airport Emergency vehicles operations and will provide a quicker response time throughout the Air Operations Area.

This project included the import and placement of four feet of land fill cover (clay, operations layer, and topsoil).

 

BFI Vasco Road Landfill - New Cell*, Livermore, California

Estimated and project managed this project from start to completion. The project included large rock excavations, processing rock into large riprap and delivered to local flood control projects, two million cubic yards of excavation, and a liner and drainage system with leachate collection. Duties were to complete price generation, project buy out, issuance of subcontracts, purchase orders, and review and approval of change orders, schedules, billings, and attending weekly planning and scheduling meetings.

Metzger 498 N-S Fire Line Improvement, City of Beaverton, Oregon

The project was for the construction and improvement of the 10,000 ft Metzger N-S fire flow pipeline. The project included 8”, 12” and 18” diameter pipe, trenchless pipelines, and street repair.

Project Contract Cost - $5 Million

 

Corrosion Control Improvements Project, Portland Water Bureau, Portland, Oregon

Senior Estimator for the Portland Water Bureau’s Corrosion Control Improvements Project to reduce lead concentrations in tap water by replacing the sodium hydroxide system with new sodium carbonate and carbon dioxide storage and feed systems. New utility water supply and chemical delivery pipelines will be installed between the new chemical building as well as new utility water supply pumps.

Project Contract Cost -  $16 Million

Southeast Bay Outfall (SEO) Islais Creek Crossing Replacement Project, San Francisco, California

Senior Estimator for the $60 million dollar upgrade The project will provide dual 48-inch diameter pipelines connected to the western side of SEP 550 at the discharge force main pipelines, then follow along a submerged profile crossing of Islais Creek, rising on the North Shoreline to combine into a 60-inch diameter CSFM pipeline. The single pipeline will then turn to the east and connect to the existing CSFM pipeline approximately 13 feet west of the westerly most MUNI track1, in the number 2 lane of southbound Third Street, and 37.7 feet east of Manhole 1. The shoreline sections of the pipeline will be steel pipe on concrete pile bent supports. The main creek crossing pipeline will be HDPE pipeline connected to the steel pipeline by flexible joints. The North Shoreline Connection will consist of submerged steel pipeline on concrete pile bent supports

 

New Bull Run Filtration Facility, Portland Water Bureau, Portland, Oregon

3rd Party Estimate Senior Estimator for the Portland Water Bureau’s Bull Run Filtration Facility Project. The Project is a new 145 MGD surface water treatment plant on a 91-acre greenfield site. The Project includes the connecting pipelines running to the new bull run pipeline. The plant process is based on conventional filtration with pre-ozonation, rapid mix, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration & solids treatment. Civil Construction Contract Value for this project $68 Million

 

SFPUC Wastewater Treatment Plant - Biosolids Digester Facilities, San Francisco, California

Senior Estimator for the $1.6-billion upgrade to the aging solids-handling processes at the Southeast Treatment Plant (SEP), the largest wastewater treatment plant owned and operated by SFPUC. Project involves confining odors from the biosolids facilities to the fence line of the SEP, which means a state-of-the-art system for collecting and treating odors on-site. Project Cost - $1.6 Billion
